The RXv3 core is highly efficient, so the performance is nearly equal to competitors' 200 MHz class MCUs with the CPU running at only 120 MHz. The CoreMark score is 73% higher than the competitor's 120 MHz MCU. On the other hand, for current consumption, the RX671 consumes only 14.5 mA when executing the CoreMark benchmark thanks to the combination of RXv3 core and Renesas' customized 40 nm process. This value is 55% lower than the competitor's 180 MHz MCU and nearly equal to the 90 MHz class MCUs. The RX671 raises product performance while reducing current consumption.
