Within the RX family, the RX600/RX700 series focus on the highest performance and functionality. Renesas has released the RX65N/RX651, which offer superior functionality for every space, the RX66N, which has high-speed Flash memory that can be read from the CPU without wait states, and the RX72M/RX72N, which have the highest performance and functionality. All series support a microphone interface, a TFT LCD controller, cloud connectivity, an Ethernet controller, and security functionality. In September 2021, Renesas added the RX671, which offers outstanding power efficiency, to this lineup. The RX671 has the RXv3 core running at up to 120 MHz, 2 MB Flash memory, 384 KB SRAM, a microphone interface, cloud connectivity, and security functionality. Furthermore, a capacitive touch-sensing unit is supported for the first time in the RX600 series MCUs.
