I raddrizzatori controllati al silicio (SCR) sono dispositivi a tre terminali che si comportano come diodi raddrizzatori, con la possibilità di bloccare il flusso di corrente in direzione avanti fino all'applicazione di un segnale di controllo. Più comunemente usati per il controllo della corrente della rete in c.a., gli SCR sono anche noti come tiristori di commutazione, anche se questa definizione viene talvolta applicata ad altri dispositivi correlati.
