4 Fun (and Educational!) Ideas to Keep Your STEM Kid Busy this Summer

School’s out and your kids are looking for things to do. You want them to have fun but you still want to keep that educational train rolling during the summer. Just because school has ended doesn’t mean your kid’s brain isn’t still going to be seeking information. Wired Magazine has a few ideas to help make sure those squishy blobs (are brains really actually squishy, btw?) between their ears fill up on the good stuff until they can make it safely back into the arms of your favorite educator next fall.

FOR SOME PEOPLE, summer means warmer weather and outdoor activities. But what about the kids that are out of school? What will they do all summer? For most parents, they just want their kids to do something other than video games or watching endless videos.

So for you, I'm going to give a few suggestions for summer activities—some of my favorites. These are just suggestions, this is not a to-do list. Really, it is going to depend on the child to find something they truly find interesting and exciting (that's when the fun really starts).
