Programming the JTAG fuse is achieved by writing to the JTAG signature location at addresses FF80 and FF82. The content of these locations varies depending on whether the user would like to secure the device such that only BSL access is possible or secure the device with a unique password that can then be supplied via the tool chain to open the device. The pros and cons of these two options are discussed in the next slide.
