DAC-Slide11

The LTC2642 is a bipolar version of the LTC2641. This DAC offers a pair of connections to the internal feedback resistors in order to produce an output voltage at the amplifier of up to ±5V with a 5V reference. In this case, the reference voltage is supplied by a 2.5V LT1019 low-noise, low temperature coefficient series reference; therefore, the output range at the amplifier is ±2.5V. The LTC2641 and LTC2642 are unbuffered voltage output DACs that require an external amplifier unless driving a high impedance load. These DACs allow customers the ability to choose the proper amplifier, whether it’s low noise, low bias current, or low power, in order to drive their load. The LTC2641 and LTC2642 both draw very little supply current and offer pin-compatible 14-bit and 12-bit options for those applications that don’t need as much resolution.
