In addition to precision DC specifications, the LTC2641 and LTC2642 DACs also offer excellent AC specifications. Settling time is 1µs for a full-scale step to settle within one-half an LSB. The fast slew rate of 15 volts per microsecond and very low 0.5 nanovolt-second glitch impulse means these DACs are great for AC waveform generation. The fast slew rate and very low glitch mean the AC signal will have lower noise, an important consideration for precision waveform generation. Both DACs communicate via a 3-wire serial connection at clock rates up to 50MHz for fast DAC update rates.
