Faseroptik - Dämpfungsglieder

Bei Dämpfern für die Faseroptik handelt es sich um Komponenten, mit denen der Leistungspegel eines Glasfasersignals verringert oder überwacht wird. Zu den grundlegenden Arten der festen Dämpfung gehören Single Mode, Dual Window und Multimode bei Steckverbindern vom Typ D4/PC, FC, FC/UPC, MU, SC, SC/APC und UPC sowie ST und ST/UPC. Optische Dämpfer funktionieren in der Regel durch die Absorption von Licht, ähnlich wie Sonnenbrillen, die überschüssige Lichtenergie aufnehmen.
