Newnex developed the FireNEX series USB fiber optic extenders in response to the growing need for 5 Gbps USB extensions in various application fields. Regular USB cables only practically allow users to connect to USB devices within a 10 foot range. Equipped with the latest fiber optic technology, Newnex’s USB fiber optic extenders aim to break the length barrier for USB connectivity.
These fiber-optic repeaters are capable of extending USB 3.1 signals up to 500 meters over a single fiber optic cable, allowing for a wide range of use cases spanning long distances while maintaining backward compatibility with USB 2.0/1.1 peripherals.
