USB4800 USB Type-C® Receptacle

GCT has further expanded its range of USB products with the introduction of an elevated USB Type-C receptacle, USB4800.

The surface-mount USB4800 has 16-pins to meet USB 2.0 specification for power and data and is designed with a center line elevated 3.5 mm above the PCB surface. A potential advantage of the product elevation is the ability to use components with less than a 1.6 mm profile beneath the connector. Additionally, the elevated configuration allows the product to have cosmetic appeal when fitted in a typical chassis arrangement alongside other I/O products such as USB Type-A and HDMI.

This top-mounted product offers 48 V at 5 A and is rated for 240 W USB power delivery requirements. It has four-off through-hole shell stakes for excellent PCB retention and stability and has been tested to 10,000 cycles making it an ideal choice for demanding applications.
