AK7454 High-Accuracy Angle Sensor for Shaft-End and Off-Axis Configuration
AKM’s AK7454 sensor can track rotation speeds of up to 25,000 rpm via tracking servo system architecture
AKM’s AK7454 absolute magnetic rotation angle sensor has an enhanced calibration function and a small package size. The AK7454 high-accuracy angle sensor integrates an advanced user calibration function, enabling it to calibrate angular errors caused by mounting misalignment and magnet characteristics. In addition to shaft-end, the AK7454 corresponds to an off-axis configuration.
An internal EEPROM allows for programming of zero-point setting, rotation direction, ABZ output resolution (1 ppr to 4,096 ppr), and number of poles of UVW output (1 to 32 pole pairs). The AK7454 can track rotation speeds of up to 25,000 rpm via tracking servo system architecture with an output delay time of 1.2 µs.
Features
- Operating magnetic field range covers 10 mT to 70 mT, allowing for off-axis configuration
- A shaft-through motor system can be constructed with the off-axis configuration; this makes the motor system thinner allowing for a hollow structure
- High-accuracy calibration can be performed with measurement data of 16 points or more in a single rotation
- Angle accuracy of ±0.1° (typ.) can be achieved even in the off-axis configuration
- Housed in a small and thin (4.0 mm x 4.0 mm x 0.85 mm) QFN24 package
- Robots
- Machine tools
- Stepping motors
- DC brushless motors
